Christian Debt Solutions to Become a Debt Free Christian

Question:   I’m looking for good Christian debt solutions. My parents are financially irresponsible. I’ve struggled with my own money issues due to their poor example and I’m angry about it. What can I do?

Answer:      As a Christian, now is the perfect time to begin practicing “forgiveness”. Being angry will never serve you well. Being angry does not allow you to be at your best - so let it go.

Seeking out positive Christian debt advice that will help you to move forward will get you on the right path for both financial freedom and spiritual wellness.

"If you can DREAM it, you can DO it.”
- Walt Disney

As children we learn by example, but it is important to realize that your parents never set out to harm you. A lot of people fail to realize just how much their action, or inaction, can negatively impact others. Although it's always difficult to understand, this includes our parents.

Though your parents may have failed to teach you proper financial responsibility, you now see the errors in your spending habits and are seeking Christian debt reduction options to solve your problems. With this self realization you are now free to take action toward paying off debt.

In truth, Christian debt solutions are no more effective than any other tried and true debt free financial advice. In general, they are not based on any particular religion. The overall goal of financial budgeting is to ensure you are living on less than you make in order to live debt free and save for your future.

Now that you are aware of what caused your financial crisis, relax and understand that what has happened cannot be undone - but it can be overcome. There is nothing you can do to change the past, so forgive your parents for their mistakes and begin the hard work of rebuilding your financial life.

Start by taking stock of your current finances. Good Christian debt solutions will advise you to begin filling out a personal finance statement. When you can see where your money is going, you can more easily recognize what you need to do in order to effect change.

The visual layout of your finances helps you to realize where you may be spending too much on non-essentials, such as restaurants or going to the movies. Once you can clearly understand the behaviors that are contributing to your financial mess, you can more easily change those behaviors and move toward debt free living.

With less money leaving your hands, you can re-focus the use of that money elsewhere, such as repaying the debts you currently owe. Eventually, your finances will stabilize and you will have an easier time living from month to month.

One obvious place you might look for Christian debt solutions is at your local church. Many churches and other non-profit organizations offer free or low-cost Christian debt advice, financial planning courses and related resources, so it’s definitely worth checking out.

Do keep in mind that there are universal laws that apply to money matters. Live on less than what you make; pay cash; avoid buying on credit; living on a budget, etc.. these are all good examples of principles that will serve you well.

"The greatest gifts you can give your children
are the roots of responsibility
and the wings of independence.”
- Denis Waitley

Reasons why you should make the decision today to get out of debt:

Debt is NOT your friend. It's not a wonderful "tool" for building wealth. That's a myth.

The Debtor is a slave to the lender. Real "freedom" is when YOU are in control of your money, and when your money is working for you.

If all your income goes to making payments, you have no personal freedom to follow your dreams.

When you eliminate your payments and use that money to save, you quickly begin building wealth.

YOU CAN GET OUT OF DEBT... and start winning again.
