Most debt relief services don’t tell you what you really need to know: How to stay out of debt forever! Sometimes when you can’t find what you want, the solution is to change what you’re looking for. Too often we seek that which we consider to be readily available and ripe for the taking.
"Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing.”

Many times we don’t even need an item, but because it’s there and we have means by which to acquire it, we perceive it as something we must have. Debt relief services generally offer “quick fixes” such as bankruptcy (generally always a bad idea), debt consolidation (merely shuffling the debt around without really addressing it) and Debt Management Plans (which can get you out of debt but don’t address the underlying problems). You should stop looking for an easy solution and accept that it’s going to take hard work and self-discipline to get out - and stay out of debt. However, know that when you DO finally succeed, you’ll feel freer and more liberated than you ever have in your adult life. It’s a great feeling! Debt relief services can only do so much. Good organizations like those affiliated with the nonprofit National Foundation for Credit Counseling will educate you on personal finances, debt strategies, and so forth. Ultimately, however, it’s your mindset that must change. You might have to make some major sacrifices - and debt relief services aren’t going to spell all that out for you. So how do you really, truly get out of debt? Follow our “Big Mo” strategy, which is: First you make a list of your debts from smallest to largest and attack the smallest one. Make only your minimum payments on the others while paying everything you can on the smallest one, for as long as it takes to pay it off (probably just a few months). Then move on to the next one. Paying off that first debt frees up a little money each month; put that toward the new smallest debt. This is how you get that much need ‘momentum’ that will eventually lead you to victory over your debt situation. Proceed that way for as long as it takes, paying off one balance at a time. But you’re wondering: How do you get the “extra” money to attack that smallest balance? Here’s where the sacrifice comes in. You might need to take extra hours at work, or even get a second job. You might need to sell your expensive car and get a cheaper (but still reliable) one. You might have to move to a more affordable home or apartment. You may need to “live unreasonably” so that down the road you can live in unreasonable splendor. Do you have items of value that you could sell? Can you start a small, home-based business to run on the side? Can you buy and sell items on eBay and turn a profit? Debt relief services aren’t going to talk about these things, because they’re hard. People don’t want to hear hard ideas. They want to hear easy solutions. The fact is, there are no easy solutions for getting out of debt. It’s going to take a real change of heart on your part, and some real work. But the good news is, it can be done, and you can do it. Imagine the feeling when it’s all done and you are completely out of debt. Will all that work and sacrifice be worthwhile? Just think of the joy you’ll feel when you have NO MORE obligations to any creditors! Isn’t it worth it? Get started today.
