It may be more viable to earn money working from home than you’ve previously thought. There might be some options you hadn’t considered, or some possibilities you considered but dismissed as unfeasible.
As the Internet has grown, it has become more user-friendly. You don’t have to be an entrepreneur or a computer whiz to earn money working from home on the Internet.
One way that a lot of people are being successful online is through writing and selling eBooks. EBooks, of course, are books that are published only electronically - that is, there are no hard copies to buy.
With no hard copies, that means you avoid all of the traditional expenses associated with the physical printing of books. People receive the ebook electronically and can either read them on their computers or PDAs, or print off their own hard copy.
What this means is that anyone can now, in essence, “publish” an eBook.
To help would-be writers, there is a site called eBookCrossroads.com, run by a woman named Diane Thomas. The site helps writers and eBook publishers by providing information and tips about the industry. It’s a great resource for people who are just getting started trying to earn money working from home.
Maybe you’re thinking, “What could I possibly write an eBook about?”
Hey, don’t sell yourself short! Everyone has an area in which they are an expert. You don’t have to be the world’s foremost authority on the subject, and you don’t have to know every single thing about the subject in order to add value to others.
It doesn’t matter if there are more notable experts on the subject, or people who know just as much about it as you do. The important thing is that millions of other people DON’T know as much as you do, and NO ONE can present the information in the same helpful way as you can – because you are unique - and there are a lot of people out there who will appreciate your unique point of view.
The topic could be something as simple as playing the piano. That’s a skill lots of people have. But think of all the people who don’t even know the basics and would like to learn!
If you have those skills, you could teach them in an eBook and market it as a simple, easy-to-understand guidebook for beginners. That’s just one example, but think about the possibilities. What do you have expertise in? What could you teach to others?
Now, as for attracting targeted customers so you can go about selling your ebook - Diane built her site with a tool called “Site Build It!”, available from SiteSell.com.
SBI takes you through the entire process of building a site and bringing in visitors, and it can show you how to sell your eBook or other products or services, and earn money working from home.
Don’t limit yourself! Be creative, come up with a topic, and start making the Internet work for you!
