Use your “day job” to earn money working online, too! Why limit yourself to only one income source when you can create several?
One way to earn extra money is to take what you’re already doing for a living and find a way to leverage that knowledge using the power of the Internet.
Let’s say you’re a high school science teacher. That’s your “day job.” You like it well enough, but you could use some extra income in order to make ends meet more easily. (Knowing how little we in America actually pay our teachers, that’s probably more true that you might think.)
The great news is that today you can earn money working online by setting up a website aimed at other teachers, or a whole host of associated groups. You could, for example, fill it with useful, informative articles about various tips and techniques related to teaching. You could invite other teachers to share their ideas with each other, creating a supportive community for people with similar interests and needs.
So how would you make money with that? Two ways. First, you could recommend products that teachers would buy (books, supplies, etc.) and set up an affiliate program with Amazon.com or another advertiser, (there are thousands out there) where you get a commission every time one of your site’s visitors buys something.
The second way to earn money working online with a purely informational website, is by using a high quality advertising program, which puts small text ads on your page that provide links to products and services. These product links are automatically related to the content on your pages, and you get a commission every time someone clicks one of those ads.
