"Your Home Inventory"

Sadly, many families have the best of intentions but simply figure it will take too much time. Some believe it just isn’t necessary, or they just continue to procrastinate and let it fall to the back of their “To Do” list.

Let’s face it, taking a complete home inventory; listing everything from a DVD player to a pair of shoes, can seem daunting. Many people are not even sure why exactly they need on in the first place. This free tool may help with that seemingly daunting task.

Today is the day you put it back at the top of your list. You should already know that organizing and putting important documents in a safe place is a good idea, so the time has come for you to do the same with all your personal possessions.

Make it your immediate priority - the creation of a home inventory.

When you have a home inventory, you can finally take stock of all your items and have a much better idea of how much insurance you should actually buy. It also allows you to receive your insurance money much faster should anything ever happen to your home or assets.

And who knows? Perhaps while documenting everything, you may realize how much stuff you actually have and decide to hold a garage sale, earning yourself some well deserved extra cash!

Hold off on the garage sale for now; first you have to figure out how to inventory all your items.

There are several different ways of completing this task, and you shouldn’t make this more difficult than it needs to be.Choose the method that works best for you. Making a home inventory list in a notebook or even typing it up on a computer is probably the oldest method, as it is simply basic documentation.

You could easily utilize a program such as Microsoft Excel in order to better organize your list as you go. Do you want to give each room a separate section? List everything from most expensive to least? You decide.

With the invention of cameras and video recorders, creating your inventory has become a lot easier. You can photograph items and write information on the backs of the photos, or photograph sections of each room. Make sure the items in the pictures are clear and easy to distinguish.

A digital camera is likely to make the process much smoother as you can take more pictures than with a traditional roll of film. Video cameras make things even easier, as you can casually go about a room, lingering on items as you name them and even how much they are if know what you paid.

Our free tool has a great list of the how and why when it comes to home inventories. You can use it to help you through the process as it has all the information mentioned here and then some!

You can save yourself the time of figuring out which items to document and what you may be able to ignore just by looking at the list in the downloadable file.

Even as you comb through the tool provided, don’t look at making an inventory as a gloomy process; just because you’re making a list doesn’t mean anything is going to happen.

Rather, maybe it will give you incentive to make major organizational moves, and once you’re done, your house will look fantastic!

There you have it - two tasks in one you can now cross off your “To Do” list!

Reasons why you should make the decision today to get out of debt:

Debt is NOT your friend. It's not a wonderful "tool" for building wealth. That's a myth.

The Debtor is a slave to the lender. Real "freedom" is when YOU are in control of your money, and when your money is working for you.

If all your income goes to making payments, you have no personal freedom to follow your dreams.

When you eliminate your payments and use that money to save, you quickly begin building wealth.

YOU CAN GET OUT OF DEBT... and start winning again.
