Look at all the luxury items you have bought within the past several months. How many of them did you actually need? How many of these items have you actively used from then until now?

People who constantly indulge, especially with credit cards, will find that sooner or later, events – and credit card balances – will catch up to them. By not paying attention to what you are buying and constantly swiping your card, all those little $20 or $30 purchases will quickly add up to the hundreds.

This childish behavior must stop if you are ever going to get back on the right track with your finances.

Also when it comes to credit cards, read the fine print! There is no reason you should pay fees and other penalties when you don’t have to. Pay on time and pay off the entire balance as soon as possible. Debt is an enemy to wealth!

There are some credit cards that have low rates and minimal fees, so if you have a card that is costing too much in interest and fees, replace it and close it out as soon as possible. The best ways to save on credit cards is obviously not to have any in the first place, so let’s get rid of them as quickly as you can.
